How Can You Build And Grow Your Facebook Page Following? (Part 1)

So it’s been a couple of weeks since you started your business and now you finally decide to create your Facebook business page. Now you ask yourself one last question: How can I build and grow a Facebook Following?

From inviting your friends and family to working with niche fans, there are a number of ways to get Facebook followers that will help bring more people to your page. We’ve listed down some of the ways you can increase your Facebook page following!

1. By Inviting People to Like Your Page

To start with, the easiest and best way to start growing your followers is to invite your friends. However, a helpful tip is to limit how many invites you add at a time to avoid getting blocked by your friends. Don’t shy away to ask you them to suggest your page to their friends list, too! Always keep in mind as you go along that when friends see valuable content on your page and like them, they will eventually recommend it to their friends.

2. By Creating Attention-Grabbing Content

When creating content, always stick to your brand’s style. Choose colours that associate with your brand and don’t be afraid to use imagery. You only have a few seconds to grab your audience’s attention so make sure that your content is impressive, engaging, and relevant enough so readers will want to share your awesome content on their profiles. This allows many people to see and engage with your content, thus, increasing your page likes. Remember, the more content people share, the more likely the opportunity for you to grow your Facebook following.

3. By Using Facebook Live

Get to showcase your brand and give your audience a first look of your products on Facebook Live! This is a great way to engage with your audience and get a feel of how they think of your brand. Personality is key when doing Live videos so make sure to be informative and entertaining – a.k.a the best brand ambassador you can be! All Facebook Live videos get shown on the Facebook Live Map, so the more viewers on your livestream, the higher you’ll show up on the feed. Thus, more followers!

4. By Hosting a Giveaway or Contest

Giveaways and online contests are a great way to increase your Facebook following! Invite your target market to engage with you by creating call-to-action posts. As part of the mechanics in joining your giveaway or contest, ask your audience to visit, like, and/or share your Facebook page. With these keywords, there’s a greater chance of growing your followers so be sure to promote the giveaway on all social channels.

5. By Creating More Video Content

Video content on Facebook usually gets higher levels of engagement than pictures or text-based posts. As a result, more people will view your content. The more viewers and Facebook likes you get, the higher the chance that your content will reach potential Facebook followers.

6. By Working with Niche Fans

Sometimes the secret to building a following is through partnerships and to be honest, they don’t even have to be highly-paid “influencers”! I worked with a start-up local brand who took this to heart. What they did was source through niche fan pages and engage with the most active users, eventually sending out samples of their products so these niche fans can promote and talk about their brand. It was a success! You cannot believe how fast they were able to increase their audience.

Well, we all know that building a Facebook following doesn’t happen overnight, so be patient. But if you’ve already done the things on this list and they don’t work for you anymore, don’t worry, there are other ways to grow your Facebook following! Stay tuned for part two of this article to learn more!
